EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED
What's a guy to do after exams over, when there's huge pile of notes and books on the desk, waiting to be cleaned and sorted and organized back to the bookshelf instead of being a pile of endless unfinished tasks? There's finally time for everything and anything else (for a short while, probably). Daylight's a bit longer. Sleeping till noon followed by another nap after lunch is no longer attached to a sense of guilt. Instead of thinking 'Shit I've spent too much time on the net already' I'm now thinking 'Now that I've browed through all my daily reads... is that it?'
So what have I been up to? Music wise, I'm currently playing Alizee non stop. I first heard about the French singer Alizee few years ago when she released J'ai Pas Vingt Ants. I thought, what crappy video, what catchy song. See for yourself here -

But I do remember her. A low budget video can really make an impression. A week ago I saw her album up for grabs, so I've given it a listen. Quite listenable really, the other songs are equally manufactured and catchy and substanceless yet really easy on the ears. There's an translated english version of the song called 'I'm Not Twenty', but believe me, that one is a total joke.
Thrice has a new video! Their new single is 'Red Sky'. It's an amazing song - actually I got their album Vheissu because of this song. The video although not as dramatic as 'Image Of The Invisible', is quite good really - suits the song, and is definitely better than average. See a rock band rock their tune out with some sense of style and theatrical presentation, that's Thrice.

Being kept away from theaters for too long perhaps, seeing Pride and Prejudice last week clearly wasn't enough to satisfy my appetite for movies. I want movies, movies and more movies!!!!!!!!! But what are they showing now, lets take a look shall we - Final Destination 3, one about basic instincts, another one about Hills, and one about dogs, some other about 'yum cha'... the list is simply pathetic. I went for this one, with my dad:
I don't have a choice, do I? But this one is quite good actually. Although some parts are missing and some parts I don't really understand, it's a good movie. And it's such a real and sad movie.
